Yesterday was a pretty awesome day. Woke up at 7AM after falling asleep at 8PM the night before. Went to Walmart to get supplies for sign and shirt making, F*** the PPA/StacyLitz.com tabling at the rally, etc. Our mascot, Zoe the Pug, peed in my purse. The day started wet.
And then the rain started. Around 10AM, it was starting to get nasty. We went to the Federal Reserve and marched to City Hall and back to the Independence Mall area where Ron Paul would be eventually speaking.
Set up F*** the PPA stickers, candy, a raffle. The rain made it very hard to communicate to people and effectively get the word out, but we tried our hardest!
We saw Ron Paul speak, as usual, inspiring, but at the same time discouraging because 1) he is a politician and it is hard to elect a libertarian, duh, 2) the state of the world is pretty terrible right now, 3) time is running out for people who, everyday, are thrown in jail or killed. However, keeping my head up, our numbers keep growing and our message is strong (and sensible).
Afterwards went home to get dry and went to the after party. I had a great time, finally feeling a little better from being pretty depressed as of late. Being around libertarians is very uplifting. :) Thank you all for being there!
